Alphonse Areola: I am frustrated with the result, but we will move on and play well

West Ham United lost 1-0 to Newcastle United and Alphonse Areola admitted he was sad about the result.

West Ham had hoped to continue their winning streak, but after Bruno Guimaraes scored the decisive goal for Newcastle, West Ham had to accept defeat. Alphonse Areola and his teammates were frustrated that they failed to take advantage of the opportunity to break the deadlock and were saddened by the way the ball was conceded.

Alphonse Areola said: "We are very frustrated with the result of this game. When we think back to the process of this game, we were very stable throughout the game, but we lost that goal. It is indeed sad for us to lose in this way, but we must accept the facts and improve our shortcomings."

"Failure is part of the game and we have to recover as soon as possible and keep moving forward and making progress. We need to focus on every game and be resilient in the game."

Alphonse Areola's highlight of the game was a brilliant save from Kilman, who quickly adjusted his feet before arching back and saving the ball from the top corner. While this may go down as one of the best saves of the season, the end result of the game was not satisfactory for Alphonse Areola.

"It happened so fast that I thought it was a striker, but it was Max," said Alphonse Areola. "During our training we were working on footwork and decision-making, how to stand and be ready to fire."

"I was lucky in this game and I saved the ball. I am very happy with the save. However, I am frustrated with the final result of the game."
