Mateus Franza: I love playing football and it's a great feeling to be able to help my teammates

Mateus Franza scored his first goal for Crystal Palace in a mid-season friendly against Hankan in Marbella. Mateus Franza expressed his hope to stay with the team and continue to work hard for the team.

The winger recently returned to action for Crystal Palace as a substitute in the FA Cup after an 11-month absence. In what was Mateusz Franza's longest international appearance for his country since his first season in English football, he capitalised on a rebound from inside the Hankan box and volleyed the ball into the top corner.

After the game, Mateus Franza was interviewed and said: "This was a wonderful game. I am very happy to score for Crystal Palace and help the team win the game. I am in good shape. I have been working hard to recover. I am really happy and I will continue to work hard."

"It was a great goal and I want to dedicate it to my girlfriend and my kids. I just love playing football and I love being with my teammates."

"I need to show my quality, I will continue to improve myself, try to stay healthy and do my best to help the team. I hope to stay in Crystal Palace and not be troubled by injuries. If I can score more goals and help my teammates, it will be the best thing."
