Jurgen Strand-Larsen believes Wolves' 2-1 win over Southampton has taken the club one step closer to avoiding relegation from the Premier League, but he still feels their work is not yet done.
The player, who has been playing through the pain of a broken hand over the past few weeks, scored early in the first half to give Wolves the advantage against Southampton, but believes his side would have avoided such a tense finish if they had taken their chances before halving the deficit.
After the game, Jurgen Strand-Larsen said: "This victory is very important for us. We participate in football games to win three points. In the past few weeks, we have been moving in a good direction. Although we have not won as many games as we would like in the past few months and weeks, I think we have still made good progress."
"We played well in this game and our priority was to get the three points and we did that. We have been working very hard in the past and I think we are moving in a good direction. So getting the three points is very important for us."
"We did well on both goals and that gave us time to find the corners. It was two great assists and two great goals. We practice this a lot so I think it's one of my specialities. Sometimes we just have to put the ball in the net and hope we have a bit of luck. I think we've had a bit of bad luck in the last few months and I was forced into a couple of great saves."
"We had a great performance against Southampton, we controlled the whole game. It's always difficult to take the three points, though, but we put in a good performance.
Jurgen Strand-Larsen added: "We've had a bit of a tough couple of months and I've been searching for my best form. I always give my all for the team and I try to prove it every time. When a striker scores, it gives us confidence and allows us to get back into scoring form again."
"We are in a good position in the standings at the moment and we have a few games to play. Every game is important for us, but the next stage is really important for us and I think this is a nice little win."
Jurgen Strand-Larsen was also asked how he would deal with the departure of Mateusz Cunha, and he said: "He's a great player and it would have been great to have him in this game. But I think all the players who played did very well and the teamwork was great."
