Andre is back in the Brazil squad for their all-important World Cup qualifier this week, something the midfielder is very proud of. Andre has been so impressive on the pitch over the past few months that he was one of two Wolves players called up to the Brazil squad.
It is reported that Andre was selected by coach Dorival Junior, who recalled teammate Mateus Cunha to the team after a year's absence.
Regarding being called up by the Brazilian team again, Andre said: "I am very happy to be back in the national team. We are now very strong, including several excellent players, namely Rodrygo, Marchinho, Vinicius and Rafinha."
"It's been a privilege to play with them, so I think this international tournament will be special for us and I hope we can win. I'm happy and proud to represent my country."
When asked about Mateus Cunha's return to the team, Andre said: "I'm very happy for him and I'm always supporting him. He has given a lot for Wolves so he deserves to be called up.
"I hope that Mateus Cunha can help the Brazilian team, give his part to the club and help us in difficult matches."
"Nevertheless, these qualifiers are difficult, but I believe that we are gradually getting back to our current form. I know that everything will slowly get better and we have what it takes to do well on the international stage. I am ready to give everything I have for the club and do everything I can to help Brazil get back to the top."
