Stade Rennais completes contract extension with Ghana international defender Alidu Seidu..

Stade Rennais announced on its official website on Friday that the club has extended the contract of its Ghana international defender Alidu Seidu.
According to Rennes' official statement, Seidu has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029.
After completing his contract extension procedures, Seydou, who was interviewed by Rennes' official website again, said: "I am very honoured to be able to exntend and continue this wonderful journey. I am very happy that this contract extension means a lot to me. For me, it is important to continue to stay at Rennes, which is what I want. I am very happy here, with a great club and passionate fans. I want to thank everyone who contributed to my contract extension."
About Alidu Seidu
The 24-year-old Seidu was born in Kumasi, Ghana on June 4, 2000. He is 1.73 meters tall and primarily plays as a center back. He can also play as a left back or right back.
When Seidu was a child, he played for the youth academy set up by former French legendary international midfielder Jean Marc Guillou in Côte d'Ivoire. After graduation, he joined Clermont in 2018 and completed his Clermont first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in September of the following year.
In January 2024, Seidu joined Rennes for €9.5 million.
Since becoming a member of the Les Rouge et Noirs, Seidu has played 26 times for the Ligue 1 powerhouse in across all competitions so far, without scoring any goals or providing any assists.
