Luke Thomas believes that the early goal loss put the team at a disadvantage and made the game more difficult

Luke Thomas admitted that the early goal conceded in Leicester City's defeat to Manchester City put them at a disadvantage. Jack Grealish opened the scoring inside three minutes to give City the lead, before Omar Marmouche sealed the win with a second just before half-time.  

After the game, Luke Thomas said: "We knew it would be a difficult period. It is never easy to come here to play. We didn't perform well at the start and lost the ball early, which made our game more difficult."  

"We said before the game that we had to stay calm in the first 15 minutes and that all we had to do was keep them away from our goal, but obviously we didn't do that. Once they took the lead, the game became more difficult. It was difficult for us to get the ball from them, but we played well in the second half and kept the score at 2-0. Although they had a lot of the ball, our defense was not bad either."  

"We chased the game a little bit towards the end, but at that time we wanted to keep the score at 2-0, which was definitely a difficult score for us."  

Luke Thomas also said: "Next we must continue to work hard on the training ground. We must play one game at a time and try to get points before the end of the season. The fans have been supporting us throughout this season, and we are very grateful for this. I hope they will continue to accompany us and continue to support us."
