The competition was co-organized by the Arab Middle East Esports Company. The participating teams included not only teams from the UAE, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia and Morocco, but also teams from Montenegro and Austria. The scale and internationalization of the event were further advanced than before.
Saeed Ali Al Taher, secretary of the UAE Esports Federation, said that this event will significantly enhance the practical experience and competitive level of Arab players and help them better prepare for future international competitions.
According to the schedule, the opening match is the quarter-final match: Syria will face Tunisia, followed by Morocco against Montenegro, while Egypt will face Austria, and the host UAE will face Lebanon in the evening.
At the same time, Morocco's local gaming industry is also in a stage of rapid development. With the active promotion of the government, this emerging industry is gradually becoming an important part of the country's science and technology and digital economy.
Recently, the Moroccan government passed a new decree to expand the responsibilities of the Ministry of Communications to include the electronic game industry, aiming to formulate an industry development plan and provide institutional and policy support for the gaming sector.
Morocco is gradually emerging as a new e-sports force in North Africa and the entire Arab world, and its performance on the international e-sports stage deserves continued attention.
