Riftbound, the upcoming collectible card game (TCG) for League of Legends, is now available for pre-order, with several UK retailers already stocking the series, officially heralding the League of Legends universe’s entry into the physical card space.
UK retailer Zavvi has taken the lead in sending out emails to customers, promoting the "Set 1: Origins" collection, which is now available for pre-order. The main products include:
£19.99 Origins Champion Deck (three hero-themed versions: Viktor, Lee Sin, and Jinx), 56 cards per deck;
Proving Grounds Box Set £29.99 ;
£119.76 for Booster Display (includes 24 booster packs).
Each booster pack contains 14 cards: 7 common cards, 3 uncommon cards, 3 foil cards, and 1 token slot. On average, each box contains 6 epic rarity cards.
This "Riftbound" TCG supports 2 to 4 players fighting against each other, including 1v1, 2v2 and free-for-all modes, with rich gameplay.
Riot Games officially announced last week that the full name of this game is "Riftbound: League of Legends Trading Card Game" . The first series "Origins" card pool will contain more than 300 cards and will be launched first in China in the summer of 2025, and then in most English-speaking countries in October.
In order to ensure that the cards can enter offline game stores and support organized competitions, Riot Games also cooperated with UVS Games to launch physical products.
“We are deeply moved by the enthusiasm and anticipation for Riftbound from players around the world,” said Chengran Chai, executive producer of Riot Games. “We are grateful to the growing community and the trading card game enthusiasts who have been the first to try it out and provide feedback, especially suggestions on original art and user interface. This feedback has prompted us to further optimize the game design and conduct more actual testing to ensure that the final product is truly a game that players will love.”
