Abdulkhaliq Gasanov (ID: degster), a sniper in Counter-Strike 2, released a statement on Wednesday, officially announcing his departure from the Falcons team. He had just joined the Falcons for about three months and helped the team win the PGL Bucharest championship as MVP.
In the statement, degster reviewed the journey he had with the team and wrote: "It was not easy to come back from 0-2 to win the championship. I kept questioning myself and even wondered if I was the problem. But with the support of Lars (Lars Robl, Falcons sports psychologist and director of competitive performance), and Danny (Danny Sorensen, Falcons coach) stabilizing the team in difficult times, we did not give up, and everyone stepped up. We accumulated bit by bit and eventually turned it into a great achievement."
“For some, winning PGL Bucharest is their first championship; for others, it means winning new honors in a new team. But for me, it is the culmination of seven years of chasing a dream. Becoming MVP makes it even more special. I am proud of everything we have done, and I am sorry that I can't continue to fight side by side with you. But this memory and fairy tale we created together will always be engraved in my heart.”
Degster also mentioned his Falcons teammates and coaches one by one, and expressed sincere gratitude to everyone: "Kyxsan, since Paris, I knew that you are a rare leader in the new generation and deserve everyone's attention. We worked hard for our first trophy, and I am glad that we finally achieved this goal together. From Heroic to Falcons, we continue to push the limits. This memory will always remain in my heart."
"I once called you my angel - probably because I saw how kind and dedicated you are to TeSeS, and I am proud to be a part of your story. You are a true example of self-discipline. Thank you for everything you do, and I hope to see you again soon."
"It's an honor to play alongside a player I idolized as a kid - Magisk. You are a living legend and knowing you means the world to me. Thank you for your hard work, sacrifice, and for supporting me when I was down. Thank you, bro - hope to hug you at the next event."
"NiKo, you are an idol to many people - including me. I never thought I would be on the same team with you one day. Thank you for your teachings, support, and communication that helped me grow. It means a lot to me to lift the trophy with you. There is no doubt that you absolutely deserve a championship."
Finally, Degster sent a message to Falcons coach Danny Sorensen : "From the moment I knew I was going to work with you, I was so excited and motivated. I hope those who criticize you can see your dedication to the team. I am amazed at how much you have achieved and how much you still have to win. I will miss our conversations too - it's great to learn from a genius. Love you, brother, and thank you for every lesson you have taught me."
