Due to age rating requirements in Europe, League of Legends confirms changes to Gragas' W skill name and description

Due to age rating requirements in Europe, League of Legends recently modified the name and description of Gragas' W skill in the Public Beta Server (PBE).

According to player feedback, Gragas' W skill name has been changed from "Drunken Rage" to "Raucous Rage". At the same time, the original description of "Gragas guzzles his brew... when it is exhausted, he becomes intoxicated and powerful" has been deleted and changed to "Gragas samples his brew... becomes boisterous and belligerent".

Andre van Rooyen, head of League of Legends studio, later confirmed the change on X platform, explaining that it was done to comply with age rating regulations in Europe. He added: "Don't worry, Gragas still loves his wine, he's just being more low-key now."

Van Roon also mentioned the "Grand Barrel skill rename" incident on the Reddit forum, saying that the team is still evaluating the specific scope of the changes. He pointed out: "Due to compliance requirements in the European region and the involvement of multiple language versions, the problem has become more complicated. We are evaluating in detail what must be changed and what can be retained, and we are also examining whether the changes in the current US test server are excessive."
