League of Legends introduces WASD movement keys

A piece of news from SkinSpotlights is sparking heated discussions in the League of Legends community: Riot Games is testing a new "WASD move" operation method - this will be the first time since the launch of this veteran MOBA in 2009 that players will be allowed to directly control hero movements through the keyboard, breaking the traditional "click to move" mode.

In this leak, there are not only screenshots of WASD key support, but also more supporting settings. For example, the "Flash" skill has three new options:

• Cursor (traditional mouse position casting)

• WASD + Cursor Enhanced (WASD movement + mouse enhanced casting)

• WASD + Cursor Fallback (WASD movement + mouse as alternative direction)

More notably, there is also a switch that allows you to choose whether to "release skills in the direction the hero is facing", which may completely change the rhythm and positioning of the battle.

If the WASD movement mode is finally implemented, "League of Legends" will no longer be just a mouse-driven point-and-click game, it will move towards a more action-oriented operation experience - similar to MOBA games such as "SMITE" that are designed around WASD operations.

This step may also be a key step for Riot to launch a console version in the future. Controller support, under-the-surface console testing, and possible entry into the PlayStation or Xbox platform, for a game that has been "only on PC" for more than a decade, this will be a subversive evolution.

In the short term, for old players, "there will be almost no change." This operation method is optional and will not affect the original core gameplay of clicking to move. You can continue to operate the hero in the familiar way, and the tactical rhythm and the rhythm of last-hitting will not be disturbed.
