Xtreme Gaming defeated its arch-rival Tidebound and won the ticket to the eSports World Cup "Dota 2"

Chinese Dota 2 powerhouse Xtreme Gaming has qualified for the 2025 Esports World Cup, having officially secured their ticket to the global stage with a 3-2 victory over regional rivals Team Tidebound in the Asian Champions League.

The event was jointly organized by ESL Gaming, DreamHack and Hero Esports and was held offline at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center. The four top teams competed in a single-elimination tournament in one day, and the competition was extremely fierce.

In the end, Xtreme Gaming defeated Team Tidebound, which had just been signed by All Gamers Global and had obtained a direct invitation to TI 2025, with a slight advantage in the final, demonstrating its strong strength and ability to respond on the spot.

In addition to taking home a $100,000 prize, Xtreme Gaming also qualified for the ESL Pro Tour World Cup, which has a total prize pool of $3 million. The event will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 8 to 19. As the final chapter of the ESL Pro Tour, it has attracted worldwide attention.

It is worth mentioning that Xtreme Gaming lost the qualification to participate in ESL One Raleigh 2025 due to the recent lineup changes, but this victory obviously made the adjustments bear fruit and also served as a shot in the arm for the upcoming TI China qualifiers.

Xtreme Gaming is now the sixth team to qualify for the E-Sports World Cup Dota 2, joining PARIVISION, Team Spirit, BetBoom Team, Team Falcons, Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators. The next nine spots will be determined through the ESL Pro Tour rankings and the six major regional qualifiers.
