The 2024/25 FA Cup will see the quarter-finals, with Crystal Palace travelling to challenge Fulham. Chilwell said that coach Glasner is eager to lead the team to compete at Wembley Stadium, and that all the players in the team are full of motivation.
With goals from Daniel Munoz and Nketiah, Crystal Palace beat Millwall 3-1 in the FA Cup round of 16 and successfully advanced to the quarterfinals.
Chilwell, who joined Crystal Palace on loan from Chelsea in February, said: "I have been to Wembley Stadium many times and our whole team is motivated and ready. It has been a few weeks since the last game, but if you see our training, you will know that we have been in good shape. The coach urges us to stay focused every day because I know that such opportunities don’t come often."
"Glasner spoke to us a lot about how he had never been to Wembley to attend a match. He also told us that he went to watch England games just to experience the atmosphere at Wembley, which gave him more motivation.
Chilwell also said, "I believe there are still many players in the locker room who have never been to Wembley. This itself is 100% motivation. If we win, then the next step is Wembley Stadium, which is the best motivation."
In addition, when talking about his teammate Mateta, Chilwell said, “Before joining Crystal Palace, I watched his games on TV. Everyone knows that he is an excellent player. But what impressed me more was his role in the team. He is always the most active person in the locker room. Every team needs such players. They are the most important roles in the locker room. When he is not there, the players will immediately feel that something is missing.”
"He certainly performs well on the pitch and is in hot form this season, just like in previous seasons. His return is a huge boost for us and hopefully he can help the team advance in this game."
