Brighton manager believes Solomon March's goal gave him a boost

The Brighton winger missed 14 months with a serious knee injury, but he showed his quality with a brilliant curling shot in the win over Norwich City, and manager Fabian Huerzel believes the goal will be a big confidence boost for March.

Fabian Huerzel said: "I am very satisfied with Solomon March because I know him better now, I know how much he suffered during his rehabilitation, and how much effort he has put in to return to the court. When a player scores for the club, you can feel his efforts every moment, and the club loves him very much."

“I’ve seen the support for Solomon March and they’re all so happy for him, not just the staff but the players and the fans.”

"I'm sure that every goal will increase his confidence, which is why it is very important for him to have this positive feeling after a very difficult moment. Now we have to understand that we can't force him to do anything, and he shouldn't force himself to do anything, but to reintegrate himself into the team step by step."

"It was easy against Norwich City when we were 3-0 up. But in the Premier League it's different. So it's important that we make sure Solomon March understands that we really have his back and we are doing everything we can to get him back on the pitch.

"In the end, we hope he can play as a starter and that's our priority. But we can't force Solomon March, he has to take care of his body first and then do the right thing for rational reasons. So we won't take any risks because Solomon March is still young and he can play for the team for a long time, which is what we want to see."
