Shelly is no longer dancing, Riot staff says it's being fixed

In League of Legends, there are many iconic interactions that players love to talk about: from the verbal battles between rival heroes to Sona's "Adagio, Summoner!" that breaks the fourth wall... Riot Games has always been happy to embrace the secondary creations and meme culture of the player community. Among them, the one that makes old players smile the most is the Rift Herald (Shelly) doing a disco dance after crashing into the enemy's main crystal.
But with the release of version 25.11, this seemingly insignificant easter egg suddenly disappeared.
This issue was first reported by players on Reddit on Friday, May 30. One player personally went to the training mode to test it, and successfully brought Shelly to the enemy's main fort in a crushing match, waiting for the familiar dance. However, the crystal shattered, and Shelly stood aside without any reaction, as if "lost her soul".
"The Pioneer doesn't dance anymore." A Reddit user left a sad message, which prompted a personal response from Riot employee "GalaxySmash": "We're fixing it!" He also added two handshake emojis to show his comfort.
Although this is just a minor bug, the emotional resonance it triggered far exceeded expectations. Many players said that these seemingly insignificant "easter egg moments" are one of the most attractive aspects of "League of Legends".
It is not yet confirmed whether Shelly's dance moves will be restored in advance through a hotfix, but most players speculate that the fix is very likely to return with version 25.12 on Wednesday, June 11.
