Well-known CS2 player Damian Kislowski (ID: Furlan) announced on Sunday that he will retire from the professional arena starting immediately. The statement reads as follows:
"I'm officially done with my career as a professional gamer. As of 2020, I still had a huge passion for CS2. Being able to participate in LAN events and various tournaments and experience the adrenaline rush of competing against each other was my favorite part and was my biggest source of motivation. Unfortunately, as time went by, especially with long-term home competitions, this passion gradually faded. Over the past year or so, I felt physically and mentally exhausted. Although I tried hard, I still couldn't find the passion of the past."
"The last few years of my career weren't all smooth sailing, but I would never call it a failure. I have never regretted a single moment because it gave me great experiences and unforgettable memories. Most importantly, I had the privilege of meeting some people who will always be in my heart."
"I especially want to thank my wife and several friends who have played and competed with me: Minirox, Snatchie, Rallen and phr. I also want to thank Kubie and Krzyskowi from ProPlayers for taking care of things and giving me good advice."
“Thank you to all my friends who have fought, trained, competed and grown with me, especially my fans - it is because of your support that I can continue to improve.”
“This may not be our final farewell - maybe we can still meet, chat and play in my live studio in the future, but as a professional player, I will put down my mouse for the time being. Thank you everyone!”
Furlan, 30, is from Poland and has mainly served as a commander and assault rifleman in his career. Since 2013, he has played for iNET koxXx, INSHOCK, eBettle, Vexed, noKappa, AGG, Kinguin, Org Incoming, AGO, Adaptation and other teams, and joined Illuminar in October 2023.
So far, Furlan has played in 2,479 maps and 64,905 rounds, harvested 43,148 kills, and has an average rating of 0.96.
