Norwegian CS2 professional team Metizport released a statement on Tuesday, confirming that rifler Adam Angstrom (ID: adamb) will leave the team after his contract expires this summer. The statement reads as follows:
“After much internal discussion, Adam has decided to explore new opportunities upon the expiration of his contract on June 30. We extend our deepest gratitude to Adam for his outstanding contribution to Metizport.”
“From winning the Swedish Cup and qualifying for two BLAST events to helping us qualify for our first Major in 2025, Adam has played a vital role in some of the club’s most historic moments.”
“Thank you Adam for your dedication, passion and unforgettable moments during your time with Metizport. We are proud to have been a part of your career and we will always be rooting for you wherever the future takes you.”
adamb later responded on social media: "After two wonderful years at Metizport, I feel it's time to start a new chapter in my career and explore more possibilities in the market. I am still full of fighting spirit and motivation, and hope to join an ambitious team that aims to reach the top."
The 20-year-old adamb is from Sweden and has played for CS teams such as Lemondogs and Young Ninjas in his career. He joined Metizport in September 2023. So far, he has played in 465 maps, participated in 10,316 rounds, and has an average rating of 1.12.
However, Metizport was eliminated in the first stage of the BLAST.tv Austin Major after losing all three games. Despite this, adamb still ranked first in the team with an average rating of 0.87, showing a relatively stable individual performance.
