Argentine Counter Strike 2 (CS2) club 9z announced on Tuesday through its official website that its former Brazilian In-Game Leader BIT has officially returned as the head coach of its team.
According to the official statement of 9z, BIT will replace Yel, who left the team not long ago, and will make his head coach debut in the CCT Season 3 South American Series 1 on June 23.
Regarding his return as head coach, BIT who was interviewed by the official website of 9z, said: "To be honest, it's a bit sad, especially for Yel. He is not only an excellent coach, but also a great friend. This is a difficult decision, but I believe he will find another team to continue his work."
"Currently, we are already looking for more people to join the team: a psychologist is almost certain to join, and in the near future, we will also look for analysts and an assistant coach to work with the team."
About BIT
BIT, 34, was born in Brazil on July 16, 1990. Since 2003, he has been a professional Counter Strike (CS) e-sports player and plays as a In-Game Leader.
BIT's most well-known spell as a player was when he played for the Brazilian local powerhouse mibr.
During this spell, he won the Intel Extreme Masters twice, GameGune 2008 and DreamHack Winter 2007 with the team, and was selected as the best Brazilian In-Game Leader by the Gamers Club in 2021.
In February 2020, BIT joined 9z.
During his two-year stint with 9z, BIT won the FiReLEAGUE 2021 with the team.
In April 2022, BIT announced his retirement and became the coach of mibr.
During this spell, he won the ESL Challenger League North America 3 times with the team.
