TL official: Former Korean jungler UmTi officially leaves the team

The TL League of Legends division announced on Saturday that it has parted ways with Korean player Um Ti (ID: UmTi).

UmTi, 26, plays as a jungler, and his most popular heroes are Lee Sin, Rengar, and Kha'Zix. He started his professional career in December 2016 and has played for many LCK teams including KT, JinAir, and BRO.

In November 2023, UmTi chose to join the TL team. During his time with TL, his competitive state fluctuated greatly, but he still won the 2024 LCS Summer Championship and the 2025 LTA Stage 1 Playoffs Championship with the team.

In his farewell video, UmTi admitted that psychological pressure was the main reason that prompted him to leave the team: "The pressure piled up layer by layer, as if it was a 'narcissistic' signal - constantly stacking, stacking, stacking... until a certain moment it completely exploded. The emotional breakdown was terrible, intense and full of oppression. My confidence seemed to be drained away, and I began to criticize myself to the extreme. Why was I swept by the opponent? Why did I always stay in one place and not move? Why was my performance so casual on the spot? Every detail was tormenting me endlessly, and I felt that I had completely lost myself."

"The source of the pressure was psychological distress - I didn't have a clear mindset. I was playing like the best player in the world, and sometimes I was like the worst. At some point, I told my teammates, 'I'm leaving.'"

At the end of the video, UmTi apologized to TL fans: "I'm very sorry to the North American fans. It's hard for me to live in that state. We have seen you all over the world - Los Angeles, Brazil, Europe, South Korea, China, you are really great. I hope you don't worry too much about me. I am getting better every day. I love you."
