Fnatic benched Humanoid and signed T1 Academy mid laner Poby..

European veteran e-sports powerhouse Fnatic (FNC) announced on Tuesday through its official X (Twitter) account that the club's League of Legends team has benched Humanoid and signed T1 Academy mid laner Poby.

According to FNC's official statement, Poby will join the team as the new starting mid laner and participate in the LEC Summer Split with the team.

Poby will become the third Korean player to join FNC in the past two years, after Jun (support) and Noah (bottom laner), who have now moved to GIANTX.

As for the reason for joining FNC, Poby explained in an interview: "At first, when I received the news that a foreign team wanted to sign me, I didn't think much about it, because I didn't intend to develop abroad, but when my agent told me that it was Fnatic (FNC) that invited me, I thought about it seriously for a long time. Later, when I thought about the direction of my career development, I realized that this was a golden opportunity that I absolutely could not miss."

About Poby

Poby, who is only 19 years old, was born on February 7, 2006 in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, as a mid laner player.

Poby joined the T1 Academy and became a professional League of Legends e-sports player when he was still in school at the age of 15. During this spell, he also represented the Seoul school team in the Korean school-level e-sports tournament.

In July 2023, Poby was temporarily promoted to join the T1 main team.

During this spell, he participated in the LCK Summer with the team, but lost to Gen.G in the finals and finished second.

After the event, Poby returned to the T1 Academy.

Since returning to the T1 Academy, Poby has been in the top three in all the events he participated in with the team after September 2024. His most glorious moment was finishing second in the Asian Masters Swiss Stage 1 in February this year
