Counter Strike 2: Liquid to replace The MongolZ at the BLAST Open London due to visa issues..

BLAST.tv announced on Wednesday via its official X (Twitter) account that Dutch powerhouse Liquid will replace Mongolian team The MongolZ at the BLAST Open London.

According to BLAST.tv's official Twitter account, The MongolZ were unable to enter the UK due to visa issues and were unfortunately forced to miss the tournament.

To fill the vacancy left by the team's withdrawal, organizers have issued a replacement invitation to Liquid, who qualified based on their July VRS ranking.

However, fans were deeply dissatisfied with Liquid's qualification. Many believed that the team's poor performance since returning from the hiatus meant they didn't deserve their spot as a replacement.

Liquid suffered their worst performances since returning at the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne, losing 0-2 to FaZe and MOUZ, respectively.

They subsequently lost to VP.Prodigy and ECSTATIC in the quarterfinals of the BLAST Open London qualifiers.

Although they eventually defeated ECSTATIC 2-0 in overtime in the BLAST Bounty Online Stage, Liquid's performances were still unconvincing. Now, hopefully, they can seize this lost opportunity and make a comeback at the Open London.

The confirmed roster for the BLAST Open London is as follows:

  • Vitality

  • MOUZ

  • Spirit

  • Liquid

  • G2

  • NAVI

  • GamerLegion (GL)

  • FaZe

  • HEROIC

  • Virtus.pro (VP)

  • FURIA

  • PaiN

  • Legacy

  • ECSTATIC

  • M80

  • FlyQuest
