VP official: Perfecto takes over the team's command, and youth player tO0RO enters the starting lineup

Russian CS2 professional team VP announced in a statement on Monday that Ilya Zalutsky (ID: Perfecto) has been appointed as the team's in-game leader. They also promoted academy player Vadim Alkov (ID: tO0RO) to the starting lineup to fill the vacancy left by rifler Denis Sharipov (ID: electroNic) after he was demoted to the bench.

Despite Perfecto's lack of in-game experience, VP unanimously agreed that he was the most suitable candidate. The statement concluded, "With his extensive professional experience, deep understanding of the game, and leadership, he will undoubtedly help stabilize the team's performance and improve its results!"

As for tO0RO, VP also gave him full recognition in the statement: "In the past few weeks, we have tested a number of youth training players to find the most suitable candidate. Vadim's performance in the rifleman position has been impressive, so we decided to let him play this role for the time being."

VP had a poor start to the season, suffering losses in several tournaments, including FISSURE Season 1, IEM Cologne Stage 1, BLAST Season 2 Finals, the eSports World Cup, and BLAST London Open. To reverse the current decline, VP decisively benched leader and rifler electroNic, replacing him with Perfecto and tO0RO.

Perfecto, 25, has played for numerous Counter-Strike teams, including Atlants, Syman, NAVI, and C9. With NAVI, he won numerous championships, including the 2020 IEM Katowice, the 2020 BLAST World Finals, the 2021 DreamHack Masters Spring, the 2021 StarLadder CIS Eastern Europe, the 2021 IEM Cologne, the 2021 ESL Pro League Season 14, the 2021 ESL Grand Slam Season 3, the 2021 PGL Stockholm Major, the 2021 BLAST Fall Finals, the 2021 BLAST World Finals, and the 2022 BLAST Spring Finals. He joined VP as a rifler in June of this year and has played 25 maps and 550 rounds to date, earning 304 kills with a 47.0% headshot rate and an average rating of 0.73.

Compared to Perfecto, tO0RO, only 17 years old, still lacks experience in major tournaments. He joined VP as a youth player in October 2024. To date, he has played in 33 maps, participated in 768 rounds, and earned 526 kills with a headshot rate of 58.7%. His average rating is 1.02.
