League of Legends Asia Invitational (ASI) to take place in early October..

The LCK announced on Sunday via its official Instagram account that the League of Legends Asia Invitational (ASI) will take place in early October.

According to the LCK's official statement, the inaugural ASI will be co-hosted by Huya Live, Douyu, and Bilibili, and will be held from October 6th to 12th, in an online format.

The ASI will feature prominent teams from the LCP, LPL, and LCK regions that failed to advance to the World Championship, competing against each other. Participating teams will be invited by the organizer.

Among these participating teams, the organizer will invite teams from the fifth to seventh place LPL region, the fifth to seventh place LCK teams, and the fourth and fifth place LCP teams.

The group stage will take place from October 6th to 9th, with two groups playing three Bo3 single round-robin matches daily. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.

The knockout stage will take place from October 10th to 12th, using a double-elimination format. With the exception of the final, which will be a Best of 5, all other matches will be Best of 3, all utilizing a fearless draft format.

The total prize pool for the League of Legends Asia Invitational (ASI) is 1.5 million RMB, with the champion receiving 600,000 RMB, the runner-up 400,000 RMB, and the third place 200,000 RMB.
