OG announces the disbandment of OG.LATAM team and continues to promise to focus on the South American region and prepare to build a new lineup

Internationally renowned e-sports club OG recently announced that it has officially disbanded its Latin American team OG.LATAM, ending its two-month partnership with the Peruvian "Dota 2" lineup.

Despite the disbandment of the team, OG said it will continue to focus on the South American region and prepare a new lineup to participate in future events. OG explained on social media: "With the end of the South American qualifiers, we have decided not to renew the contracts of the original players and encourage them to explore new opportunities."

OG emphasized that this adjustment is not to withdraw from South America, but to create a more competitive team. OG will continue to work with the original OG.LATAM coach Vintage and manager Luan to pave the way for the new lineup.

OG.LATAM was established in April this year and was joined by the former Perrito Panzón team. The lineup includes powerful Peruvian players such as K1, DarkMago, ILICH-, elmisho and MoOz.

Although the team was once regarded as one of the main forces by OG, its overall performance was not ideal. It was eliminated at the bottom of DreamLeague Season 26, and ranked second and third in the key EWC 2025 and TI 2025 South American qualifiers respectively, and failed to advance.

With the end of the qualifiers and the lack of major events in the short term, OG.LATAM announced its disbandment. OG admitted that it will continue to maintain a dual-roster strategy in the future, with the European team continuing to rebuild morale and a new South American lineup being prepared.

Despite failing to qualify for TI in the past three years, OG has not given up on its goal of returning to glory. As the second half of 2025 approaches, fans can expect a brand new OG to continue to fight on the international stage.
