Brentford have announced that defender Mats Rollslev will join Bundesliga club Wolfsburg on loan until the end of the 2024-25 season, pending international clearance.
The 25-year-old Rollslov joined Brentford B team in July 2019 and successfully joined the first team in the same season. In the 2020-21 Championship promotion play-off final, Rollslov contributed key assists to the team and helped the team successfully upgrade.
So far, Rollslov has played 146 times for Brentford, including 94 Premier League games. Now Rollslov will be loaned to Wolfsburg, and the club has a buyout option, so he may officially join Wolfsburg later.
Regarding Rawlslov, Brentford's director said: "Since Maz joined the B team, he has performed very well, which fully reflects the original intention of our establishment of the B team in 2016 to attract young players with potential and provide them with a channel for development and entry into the first team."
"He took his chances and provided important goals and assists for the team. Now, Maz has the chance to establish himself as a starting defender at Wolfsburg and further cement his place in the Denmark national team."
"Wolfsburg has a buyout option, so we cannot yet confirm whether he will return to Brentford next season. However, if the game against Crystal Palace is his last game for Brentford, then the result and his performance in this game are undoubtedly a perfect farewell."
