In the opening match of S15, 100T made a surprise attack in the late game and defeated BLG

On October 16th, in the opening match of the League of Legends S15 World Championship, 100 Thieves from North America played a strong performance despite being underdogs, crushing the LPL powerhouse BLG and taking the first game victory.

Early in the match, 100T took the lead in a dragon fight, trading one for two and securing multiple objectives. Despite a subsequent positioning error from Rell, 100T maintained a steady tempo. In the mid-game, BLG briefly gained the upper hand thanks to their Vanguard push, but Spider's vision was caught during a lane shift, resulting in a kill and allowing 100T to regain their momentum.

The key turning point came during the third dragon fight. After a BLG jungler misplayed a smite, 100T decisively engaged. Leveraging Caitlyn's forced flash, they chased down the team and wiped it out, instantly turning the tide. They then successfully controlled Ertahan and repeatedly teleported back to kill BLG's top and mid laners, completely turning the tide.

In the late game, 100T gradually controlled the Dragon and Baron, their dual -carry equipment complete and their damage output exploded. Facing BLG , who was unable to fight back , 100T steadily advanced and completed the final blow, finally destroying the crystal to seal the victory.
