Sevilla announced on its official website on Monday that the club has signed Nigerian center forward Akor Adams from Montpellier.
According to the La Liga powerhouse's official statement, Adams has signed on a long-term four-and-a-half-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029. At the same time, he will also wear the No. 15 jersey.
About Akor Adams
Akor Adams, 24, was born on January 29, 2000 in Benue State, Nigeria. He is 1.89 meters tall and plays as a center forward.
Adams played for Jamba Football Academy when he was a child. He joined Sogndal in August 2018 and completed his Sogndal first-team debut soon after.
After leaving the club when his contract has expired in the winter of 2021, Adams joined Lillestrom as a free agent.
During his time at Lillestrom, Adams began to attract the attention of small and medium-sized clubs in Europe's top five leagues with his high goalscoring efficiency.
In August 2023, Adams joined Montpellier for €4.5 million.
During his one-and-a-half-year stint at Montpellier, Adams played 16 times for the Ligue 1 club in all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists.
