About Doran
The 25 year-old Doran, whose real name is Choi Hyun-jun, was born on July 22, 2000, in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea.
Doran has been a professional League of Legends esports player since 2018, primarily playing as a top laner.
His professional career began with the amateur team KeG Seoul, where he already knew his former teammate Gumayusi.
During this period, the two players made a name for themselves with their team's stunning 2-1 shock victory over Hanhwa Life Esport (HLE) in the 2018 KeSPA Cup Finals.
In the summer of 2019, Doran joined Griffin.
During this time, he helped the team achieve second place in the LCK Summer Split.
In December of the same year, Doran transferred to DRX.
During this time, he helped the team reach the 2020 LCK Summer Split Finals, but they finished as runners-up, losing to Dplus KIA, who were then playing under the name DAMWON Gaming.
In November of the following year, Doran joined KT Rolster. However, the team performed poorly that year.
In November 2021, Doran transferred to Gen.G.
During his two-year spell with Gen.G, he won the LCK Spring and Summer Splits twice each, reached a top-4 finish at the 2022 League of Legends Worlds Championship, and was selected to the All-LCK Second Team twice and the All-LCK Third Team once.
In November 2023, Doran joined Hanhwa Life Esport (HLE).
During his time with HLE, he won the LCK Summer Split once and was selected to the LCK Spring All-LCK Third Team and the LCK Summer All-LCK Second Team in 2024.
In January 2024, Doran transferred to T1, replacing Zeus, who had joined HLE in an opposite move.
This transfer also led to his reunion with Gumayusi after a six-year hiatus.
This year, Doran won the 2025 League of Legends Worlds Championship with his team, and also achieved second and third place finishes in the 2025 Esports World Cup and the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational, respectively, making it the most fruitful year of his career.
