Official announcement: EDG's bot laner Ahn has officially left the team.

EDG's League of Legends division released an announcement on Thursday confirming the departure of their bot laner, An Shanye (ID: Ahn). Ahn's future plans are currently unknown.

Ahn, 26, joined VG's second team (later renamed RA's second team) as a youth player in January 2020, thus embarking on his professional career. In December 2021, he followed in the footsteps of RA's head coach Zhu Xiaolong (ID: Loong) and joined the iG team, where he made significant contributions to the team's advancement to the quarterfinals of the 2022 Demacia Cup.

In March 2025, Ahn officially joined EDG's League of Legends division. To date, he has played 26 times for EDG in the second and third stages of the 2025 LPL, and helped them secure a quarterfinal spot in the third stage of the LPL.

Regarding Ahn's departure, EDG's League of Legends division stated in an announcement: "From late spring to midsummer, we traversed the turbulent waters and starlight of the 2025 season together. Like a full moon drawn in the bow, like a rainbow in flight. On the field, your desire to win burned like a flame, never giving up in the face of adversity; off the field, your ambition to change was as sharp as a blade, relentlessly honing your skills through the night."

In the 2025 season, we witnessed your transformation and growth, and saw your unseen efforts and dedication. Thank you, Ahn, for your passion and hard work for EDG. We look forward to seeing you again at the top!
