The 2025 Hero Gameplay Upgrade Voting Event is now officially open! Players can vote to select the first hero whose gameplay will be optimized in 2026.

The 2025 Hero Gameplay Upgrade Voting Event has officially begun. On December 16th, the official Honor of Kings account announced the launch of the "Hero Gameplay Upgrade Voting," allowing players to vote on which older heroes will be the first to receive gameplay adjustments in 2026. As a key part of the "Honor of Kings Open Voice Festival," this event marks the first time that players have been given the power to decide hero adjustments on such a large scale, generating widespread attention.

This voting event employs a two-way voting mechanism, allowing for both "upgrade" and "remain unchanged" votes. During the event, players can use voting tickets to express their support for gameplay upgrades for eligible heroes. The final selection result is not solely based on the number of upgrade votes, but rather on a composite vote count calculated by subtracting the number of "remain unchanged" votes from the number of upgrade votes. The hero with the highest composite vote count and at least 60% of the votes allocated to upgrades will be eligible for a gameplay upgrade in 2026. This rule, to some extent, prevents unilateral changes to heroes.

To ensure the objectivity and professionalism of the voting results, the official team has clearly restricted the eligibility of participants. Players can only vote for heroes whose hero proficiency level in their current account is purple or higher, ensuring that voters have sufficient experience and understanding of the heroes. Furthermore, heroes eligible for voting must meet certain conditions, including being released before 2024, not having undergone major gameplay upgrades in the past two years, and having a low pick rate in high-level ranked and peak matches, with an overall focus on optimizing less popular, older heroes.

Regarding the acquisition of voting tickets, the official method adopts a daily task mechanism. During the event, players can obtain voting tickets by logging in daily, completing one match, and sharing to solicit votes. A maximum of 5 votes can be obtained per day, and the cumulative maximum for a single account is 35 votes during the event period. When voting, players can concentrate their votes on the same hero or distribute them among multiple heroes, increasing participation and strategy.

In addition, the official team has set up basic participation rewards for this voting event. Players who participate in the voting for the first time will receive items such as Xiao Wang Interaction Points, Co-creation Planning Growth Values, and Intimacy Roses. Although the reward amounts are not outstanding, they are more symbolic and aim to encourage players to participate in hero co-creation and game content discussions, thereby enhancing the interaction and connection between players and the planning team.

Overall, this hero gameplay upgrade voting event was not merely a simple voting activity, but rather an exploration of long-term hero operation strategies for Honor of Kings. By combining data analysis, player feedback, and actual gameplay conditions, the official team strived to clarify the optimization direction for heroes that truly needed adjustments while minimizing controversy. For players, this was both a channel to express their personal opinions and an important window to participate in determining the future development of their frequently used heroes.
