Team Spirit rebuilds its CS2 roster to prepare for 2026.

Team Spirit has officially announced major changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster in preparation for the upcoming 2026 season.

The team has confirmed that magixx and zont1x will return to the starting roster, while former starters chopper and zweih will become substitutes. This change signifies the end of Team Spirit's rotation experiment in mid-2025.

Although Team Spirit remained competitive in the second half of the year, their overall performance fluctuated significantly, and they failed to win any major championships. Therefore, management decided to return to a more stable roster structure for the new season, emphasizing experience and clear role divisions.

The core of the roster adjustments lies in the transfer of command. Magixx will not only return to the starting lineup but will also serve as the in-game leader (IGL), replacing Chopper. Team Spirit believes that Magixx's familiarity with the team's system and his adaptability to multiple roles will help the team complete its tactical restructuring.

Meanwhile, zont1x's return also injects stability into the roster. He was a crucial part of Team Spirit's core system, and his return to the starting lineup is seen as a key step in strengthening overall team synergy and execution.

The decision to bench chopper signifies the end of an era. As a long-time leader of Team Spirit, he guided the team to establish itself on the international stage and achieve numerous important results.

zweih was also removed from the starting lineup. The team still recognizes his potential, but believes it's more appropriate for him to develop outside the main roster at this stage. After the adjustments, Team Spirit's new CS2 roster is: donk, sh1ro, tN1R, magixx, and zont1x.

This roster, combining top-tier individual talent with a new leadership core, aims to restore Team Spirit's structure and stability after a year without a championship. The new lineup will make its official debut at BLAST Bounty Season 1 in 2026.
