League of Legends: CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) reportedly interested in signing Freecs mid-laner Pungyeon..

Sheep Esports reported on Saturday that Taiwanese League of Legends club CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) is interested in signing Freecs mid-laner Pungyeon.

According to the report, CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) had already scouted several Korean players as their potential new mid-laner.

These players considered included Pout (Saigon Dino), MG (Los Grandes), and Roamer (paiN), but they ultimately chose to sign Pungyeon.

If the transfer goes through, Pungyeon will replace Tsai Ming-Hong (ID: hongQ), who left the team after his contract expired, as CFO's new starting mid-laner.

Also leaving CFO along with hongQ is his teammate, jungler Yu Jun-Jia (ID: JunJia).

Both have already confirmed their move to JD Gaming (JDG), and reportedly rejected CFO's contract extension offer due to lower salaries.

With the first stage of the 2026 LCP starting in three weeks, Pungyeon's arrival has solved the CFO's immediate problem.

About Pungyeon

Born on June 22, 2004, in South Korea, the 21-year-old Pungyeon became a professional League of Legends esports player in 2021, playing as a mid-laner.

Pungyeon's professional career began with the Brion and SANDBOX academy teams, while simultaneously becoming a member of the Busan esports national team in South Korea, participating in the KeG Championship.

In February 2022, Pungyeon joined Shadow Deeplol.

The following November, Pungyeon joined Freecs.

During his two years with Freecs, Pungyeon primarily played for their academy team in the LCK Challenger, but his performance was only average.
