Jonatan Tah sets his sights on another future match against Arsenal with Bayern Munich.

In a recent interview, Bayern Munich defender Jonathan Tah discussed the team's Champions League defeat to Arsenal and expressed his hopes to face Arsenal again in the future.

In the fifth round of the UEFA Champions League in November, Bayern Munich equalized in the first half with a goal from Lennart Karl, but conceded two goals in the second half and ultimately lost 1-3 to Arteta's Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. This was Bayern Munich's only defeat so far this season.

"When you play against the toughest opponents, you can clearly feel where you are, which gives the team a lot of confidence," said 29-year-old German defender Jonatan Tah.

“Although we lost to Arsenal, we didn’t think they were that much better than us. Our feeling after the game was more like, ‘Okay, we’ll come back next time,’ and we really hope to play Arsenal again.”

In addition, in the 15th round of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season, Bayern Munich defeated Heidenheim 4-0 thanks to goals from Stanišić, Olise, Diaz and Kane. Kompany's team is currently in first place in the standings with 41 points, continuing to maintain their lead in the title race.

When asked about his teammate Upamecano's future at Bayern Munich, Jonathan Tah said, "I believe he is very comfortable, and he has emphasized that many times."

“He spent a long time at Bayern Munich and felt that the coach could bring him something new. He thought the team was great, with a very positive atmosphere and energy. But ultimately, it was a decision he had to make for himself.”
