Premier League – Odegaard scores as Arsenal beat Brighton 2-1.


The 18th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season continued with a key match, with Arsenal, playing at home, defeating Brighton 2-1 thanks to a goal from Ødegaard and an own goal from an opposing player.


Two minutes into the match, Arsenal launched an attack. Trossard chipped the ball to Dzekeresh, who controlled it and fired a shot from inside the box, but the angle was too central and the ball was easily caught by Brighton goalkeeper Fabrizio. In the 4th minute, Odegaard passed to Saka, who broke into the box and fired a low shot, but it was blocked.


In the 14th minute, Saka crossed from the right wing, and Ødegaard received the ball at the edge of the penalty area before unleashing a long-range shot that found the back of the net, giving Arsenal a 1-0 lead. In the 22nd minute, Trossard's cross was cleared, and Brighton players subsequently thwarted Arsenal's attacking opportunity.
