Marcus Tafnir acknowledged that the team is currently in a difficult situation and needs to reflect on and improve its shortcomings.

Following their 1-4 defeat to Brentford, Bournemouth's morale was low, a fact acknowledged by midfielder Marcus Tafnir. After the match, he frankly assessed the team's performance and stated that all responsibility should rest with the players.  

Bournemouth trailed by two goals at halftime, and Marcus Tafnir pointed to a lack of competitiveness in the first half as the main reason for their defeat. He said: "We were in a lot of pain, everyone was in pain, and it wasn't enough. The lack of fundamentals cost us the game, and the first half was probably our worst performance of the season. We know Brentford's strength and style of play, but we should have played better."  

Despite the team's efforts to respond after halftime, Marcus Tafnir admitted that recovering from a slow start was very difficult. He stated, "After going down 0-2, it's very difficult to come back. Today's performance was very poor, and it's the players' responsibility. We're in a difficult situation now and need to reflect on the game and correct our mistakes."  

Looking ahead, the 26-year-old emphasized team unity and ruled out the possibility of using the tactical system as an excuse. He stated, "We know the problem isn't with the system, because we've succeeded with it before. These are tough times, but every player cares about the club's future, and we must stick together."  

"We can only apologize to the fans for today's performance. This is not the side we wanted to present to the fans or to ourselves. We must improve and show greater competitiveness in the game."
