Riot Games officially announced the schedule and format for the League of Legends "Americas Cup".

Riot Games today officially unveiled the detailed competition plan for the highly anticipated Americas Cup.

As a cross-regional event connecting the North American LCS and the Brazilian CBLOL League of Legends, this tournament aims to provide top teams in the Americas with high-intensity practical training opportunities before the opening of the new international tournament "First Stand".

The Copa America will be held from March 4th to March 8th at the Riot Games Arena in São Paulo, Brazil. The second and third seeded teams from the LCS and CBLOL regions will compete against each other.

The tournament uses a double-elimination format: except for the first round of the winners' bracket, which is a best-of-three (Bo3) format, all other matches will be best-of-five (Bo5) formats. Tickets officially went on sale on February 19th.

To enhance the overall competitiveness of the region, the champion of this competition will receive a highly prestigious reward: a two-week training camp in South Korea, fully funded by the organizers. This training camp will take place concurrently with the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) this summer.

In addition to the Americas Cup champion, Riot will also sponsor three other teams to train in South Korea, including the third-place team in the LCS Spring Split and the runner-up and third-place team in the first stage of the CBLOL. If there are duplicate slots, they will be allocated to the respective leagues to ensure that there are a sufficient number of American teams to practice against top international teams.
