Flick believes Barcelona has the ability to advance to the Champions League semi-finals.

The second leg of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League quarter-finals will feature a highly anticipated match, with Barcelona traveling to face Atletico Madrid. At a press conference, Flick stated that he believes Barcelona has the ability to turn the tide and demonstrate courage in attack.

In the first leg of the key match, Barcelona suffered a 0-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid after Pau Cuvarsi was shown a red card and conceded two goals later in the game.

However, in the earlier La Liga Round 31 match, Barcelona relied on goals from Ferran Torres, Yamal and Rashford to defeat Espanyol 4-1, successfully regaining their confidence.

In addition, Atletico Madrid lost 1-2 to Sevilla in La Liga this round, but their ambition to advance to the Champions League semi-finals will be just as strong.

Furthermore, Barcelona striker Yamar stated, "We are extremely eager to advance to the semi-finals, and we will give our all for it. We need to show our style, maintaining our intensity while staying true to our philosophy. A comeback is not a miracle; we started 0-2 down, but I trust my team. We firmly believe the game is not over yet, and a comeback is entirely possible."
