Ange Postecoglou said that although the result was disappointing, he saw positives for the team

In Tottenham's match against Manchester City, the team lost to the opponent with a score of 0-1. Although coach Ange Postecoglou was disappointed with the team's defeat, he also saw the positive side of the team. In the first half of the game, Manchester City played better and created opportunities. In the 12th minute, Erling Haaland scored the only goal of the game.

Tottenham started to get going before the end of the first half and went all out in the second half. Wilson Odobale almost fired home a Brennan Johnson cross and Rodrigo Bentancur headed the ball straight at Ederson Moraes, who then blocked Son Heung-min's shot. In the end, Tottenham were unable to get what they wanted and lost to Manchester City.

After the game, Ange Postecoglou said: "I thought we were a little impatient in the first half, especially in possession. I just felt we really wasted chances and that allowed City to find a little bit of rhythm. When they do that, they have a chance to knock you out."

"They created some good chances but luckily we held on and that's the most important thing. At halftime it was only 1-0. In the second half we were a little calmer with the ball and very tenacious without it. I think we managed to control the whole second half but we missed the chance to score so we are disappointed with the loss."

When Ange Postecoglou was asked if his second-half changes gave the team more motivation, he responded: "It definitely helped us improve, the energy and quality they brought definitely helped us get to the next level. But, I think we were ahead before that. I think we were in control of the game from the beginning of the second half, we just lacked the final move."

"We were calmer and clearer in our actions and what we needed to do. I felt we were too eager to try and cause problems for City in the first half and we paid the price for that. So we learned some lessons from it and although it was a shame to lose, at least the performance looked more like what we wanted. Anyway, we have to carry that forward into the next game."
