The Houston Rockets will visit the Thunder in Oklahoma City on Monday night.
Before the game, ESPN reporter Shams Charania reported that the Rockets will sign David Rody.
The 23-year-old has played in 30 games with the Hawks and 76ers this season, averaging 4.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 46.4% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range.
Charania said: "Former first-round pick David Rody has reached an agreement with the Houston Rockets on a two-way contract, his agency Wasserman told ESPN. Rody averaged 6.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game in his three-year NBA career and played in 165 games."
Rody is the 23rd overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft from Colorado State University. He has played for the Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns in the past three seasons.
Currently, the Rockets are ranked fifth in the Western Conference with a record of 37 wins and 23 losses, and are still fighting for a playoff spot after 60 games.
In addition, according to ESPN reporter Bobby Marks: "Tuesday is the deadline for NBA teams to sign two-way contract players. Teams can convert two-way contracts into formal contracts before the end of the regular season, but players on two-way contracts cannot participate in the playoffs."
