American Counter Strike 2 (CS2) team Complexity, announced on Thursday through its official X (Twitter) account that the team has parted ways with its head coach T.c.
According to Complexity's official statement, the team is very grateful for T.c.'s dedication and everything he has done for the organization over the past three years, but after experiencing the glory days and the lows in Sydney and Jönköping, everyone thinks it's time to make a change.
After the news of his departure was released, T.c. also expressed his feelings through his personal official X account.
T.c wrote in a tweet: "Thank you so much Complexity for always making sure I'm well taken care of, no matter where we are in the world."
"I'm grateful to all the players and staff I've worked with over the past few years. I've learned something from each of you, and I'll always look back on the time we spent together with gratitude."
"Special thanks to JT, we've competed together for eight years, through all the challenges and victories. We always find a way to keep moving forward, chasing our dreams, all the way from the southern tip of Africa."
"I wish the team all the best in the future. Now I'll be recharging in South Africa with my family, waiting for the next adventure. I'm a free agent, open to new opportunities in any region, so don't hesitate to contact me on X or any other platform."
About T.c
T.c, 32, whose real name is Tiaan Coertzen, was born in South Africa on August 23, 1992. He studied medicine at a local university and has a double degree in pharmacy and surgery.
T.c officially joined the Counter Strike (CS) professional e-sports competitive circle in 2014.
As a player, he once represented the local South African team eNergy.
Later, due to personal development issues, he chose to retire in 2016.
After retiring, T.c has served as a coach for Bravado, Denial, ATK and Cloud9 (C9).
In December 2020, T.c joined Extra Salt.
During his one-year spell as Extra Salt's coach, T.c won the DreamHack Open North American Qualifiers twice with the team in 2021.
In January 2022, T.c moved to sister team Complexity.
During his three-years as Complexity's coach, T.c did not win any Major, and his best result was the runner-up in the Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023.
