On August 5th , in a key matchup of the 2025 LPL Summer Split, WE, with their impressive late-game teamfighting and tactical execution, came from behind to defeat FPX, securing their first victory of the season. In this best-of-three match, WE showcased the resilience and growth of their new roster, particularly with the Caitlyn system and the new hero Yun Ana, allowing them to control the pace of the game in the mid-to-late game and ultimately pull off a comeback.

In the first game, FPX established a strong early-game rhythm. Leveraging Corki's aggressive push and vision control, they successfully secured the first two dragons. In the mid-game, they leveraged the perfect synergy between Vi and Rell to disrupt WE 's formation, securing the Vanguard and the third dragon. Although WE stole Baron at the 24- minute mark, the sustained damage from FPX's three carries proved too much for a frontal teamfight . Finally, around the 33- minute mark, FPX once again wiped out their opponent, capitalizing on the Baron buff to end the game and secure a decisive victory.

In the second game, WE promptly adjusted their strategy, centered around their new hero, Yunana. They seized the initiative through several early teamfights and steadily controlled three Zerg resources, establishing a tempo advantage. Entering the mid-game, Yunana's monstrous damage from stacking layers completely changed the game, overwhelming FPX in the frontal teamfight. After successfully securing Baron, WE expanded their gold lead to 10,000, ultimately tying the score at the 29th minute with a thrilling teamfight.

In the final game, WE chose Caitlyn as their primary pusher, attempting to open up the game early on by rotating lanes. However, FPX , leveraging the pick-and-grab abilities of Jhin and Bard, repeatedly disrupted their rhythm and successfully secured two dragons and Broodling, gaining a resource advantage. 30 minutes later, WE secured Baron. Empowered by Caitlyn's ultimate and turret-destroying ability, they pushed forward with unstoppable force, effectively ending the game.
