League of Legends: JD Gaming (JDG) officially parted ways with its coach Ming Kai (Clearlove)..

JDG (JD Gaming) League of Legends division announced on its official Weibo account on Wednesday that the club has parted ways with its coach, Mingkai (ID: Clearlove).

According to JDG's official statement, the two parties decided to part ways after amicable negotiations. They thanked him for his contributions to the team and wished him all the best for the future.

Currently, there are no rumours regarding Mingkai's future plans or which coach will replace him.

About Mingkai

Mingkai, 32 years old, whose ID is Clearlove, was born on July 25, 1993, in Wuhan, Hubei Province. He began playing professional League of Legends esports in 2012, primarily as a jungler.

As a player, Mingkai was once one of the top players in China and the entire LPL.

He previously played for EDward Gaming (EDG), winning the LPL Championships eight times.

But he is best known for leading his team to victory against LCK powerhouse T1 at the 2015 Mid-Season Invitational.

Such outstanding contributions earned him the "Top 10 Players of the Decade" award at the 2023 LPL 10th Anniversary Awards, and he was inducted into the LPL Hall of Fame the following year.

Starting in 2019, Mingkai transitioned to coaching, working for EDG.

During this time, he helped the team reach the finals of the Demacia Championship at the same year, but they lost to Royal Never Give Up (RNG) and finished as runners-up. He briefly returned to playing in 2021 and 2022.

This year, Mingkai became the coach of JDG.

However, due to a lack of experience, he occasionally made poor choices, resulting in a mixed record as a coach at JDG.
