Vitor Pereira believes they deserved the win and it was a result the team deserved

Vitor Pereira believes he saw team spirit in his side as Wolves put in a superb performance against Bournemouth to earn three points from the match.  

Wolves played with a man extra for an hour after Ilya Zabani was shown the red card, and took the lead soon after when Mateus Cunha scored his 14th goal of the season, but the manager felt his side thoroughly deserved the win, sent-off or not.  

Vitor Pereira said: "I am very happy because I saw the spirit of the team on the court. It is not easy to play here because they are a very good team and the way they play has caused us a lot of problems."  

"After the first few minutes of the game we had some problems. From then on we started to be compact, control the game and create chances. In the end, I think we deserved the result."  

"With 10 players, this happens to a lot of teams. Sometimes we think that with one more player we will lose our position, our balance, and that's a dangerous situation."  

"But we had balance and we felt at that moment we would score. In the second half of the game we stayed compact but not in possession like I like, but in balanced positions on the pitch."

Vitor Pereira also said: "Regarding Ilya Zabani's sending off, I didn't see it clearly. This is really difficult for me because I try to analyze what will happen after this situation. This means that my eyes must be balanced and make sure our defense is balanced. Therefore, I can't talk about things I can't see."  

"I asked Marshall Muncy to help the team as a midfielder and get into the box from the back. He had a chance to score again, not in this game but every time he's out there he has a chance to score."
