Cavaliers beat Portland Trail Blazers to win 10th straight game

De'Andre Hunter scored 32 points and hit a clutch 3-pointer with 30 seconds left in overtime to help the Cavaliers pull away from the Portland Trail Blazers for a 133-129 comeback win at home on Sunday.

This hard-fought victory gave the Cavaliers their 10th straight win, their third double-digit winning streak this season. They even missed All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell in this game, who was rested.

The Cavaliers (50-10) trailed by 18 points in the third quarter but eventually came back to win 14 of their past 15 games.

Prior to this, the Cavaliers had just completed a stunning comeback on Friday when they were away from home against their Eastern Conference rival and defending champion Boston Celtics, successfully turning the tables after falling behind by as much as 22 points, and bringing their regular season record to 2-2.

Faced with a tight schedule in March, with 16 games to be played in 29 days, coach Kenny Atkinson said the team will adopt strategic rest to ensure that the players maintain sufficient physical fitness before the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics (43-18) led by 20 points in their match against the Denver Nuggets, but held on for a 110-103 victory.

Jaylen Brown scored 22 points, Jayson Tatum contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Derrick White scored 17 points. The Celtics have never suffered a three-game losing streak this season.

The Nuggets are currently ranked second in the Western Conference. Core star Nikola Jokic performed well across the board, scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists.
