Stephen Curry becomes first player in NBA history to hit 4,000 three-pointers

Stephen Curry became the first player in NBA history to hit 4,000 career three-pointers as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Sacramento Kings 130-104. Stephen Curry's long-range shooting and accuracy have always been outstanding, whether he is facing one or two defenders or shooting from the logo.

Now, the guard has become the first player in league history to hit 4,000 three-pointers. Stephen Curry's 4,000th point came from the right wing, with 8 minutes and 19 seconds left in the third quarter, under pressure from a Moses Moody pass, and Stephen Curry completed the goal on his fourth attempt.

Fans cheered as Curry made the shot, and later, during a timeout, a tribute clip played on the big screen, including a congratulatory message from former Warriors big man Andris Biedrins of Latvia, who assisted on Curry's first 3-pointer.

“It’s really cool to think about my progression from my first to 4,000,” Stephen Curry said. “I felt the energy and the excitement after I made my first 3-pointer, and even when I missed the second one, I felt the adrenaline. They were there for me every moment of this game.”

"When the second goal came, I knew there was still a lot of time left, so I tried to control myself and not get too excited. But it was a special moment and I could feel the energy."

Stephen Curry became the 26th player in NBA history to score more than 25,000 points in last week's game. This is Stephen Curry's 16th NBA season, and although he sometimes needs to rest for a few days to recover, he still hasn't stopped.
