Nelson Semedo has faith in his team and believes Wolves can end their winless Premier League run

Wolves captain Nelson Semedo expressed his confidence that the team can end their Premier League slump. Wolves suffered a run of four consecutive top-flight defeats against Arsenal. Wolves are still looking to win their first Premier League game in 2025, but despite an improved performance, they still lost to Arsenal.

However, Nelson Semedo still maintains confidence in the team and believes that the team has enough strength to get out of the current slump and escape the relegation zone. Nelson Semedo said: "We are obviously disappointed with the result of the game because we had a good chance to score here, especially when we had an extra player."

"We had an extra player for a few minutes, so I think we took advantage of that. Even in that period, I thought they had more possession than us, and then when they equalized, they were able to score and win. In conclusion, I think we played a good game and we did a good job."

"Also, I think we have to be smarter with our chances in front of goal. We will definitely score again, like we scored a lot before, but we have to work hard going forward. Arsenal are a strong team and I thought we played well. We need to work harder and now we have about a week to prepare for the next game."

When talking about Joao Gomes being sent off, Nelson Semedo said: "Joao Gomes is still young, but he is a player with a lot of experience and has won a lot. Joao Gomes is a national team player, a very good player in our team, who provides us a lot, and I am sure he knows it.

"Joao Gomes knows what he did wrong and he also knows what he did well. So I think he will learn from the game, but he is a very important player for us so we need to keep him in good shape. We have to keep his confidence so that he can come and help us later."

"I have great confidence in the team anyway, I know everyone of them is working hard to get out of this difficult situation. I know the staff are also working very hard, they have brought us a lot of help since the day they arrived, and I believe in this team very much."

"I know we have a very good team and players and we have been playing against very good teams, that's a fact. I'm sure we will work hard and try to do better."
