Lillard wins the Three-Point Contest again, tying the all-time record for the third time in his career.
2026-02-17 13:41February 17th - Damian Lillard won the Three-Point Contest again. Trail Blazers veteran Damian Lillard, with a consistent performance of 27 points in the first round and 29 points in the final, defeated Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker to win his third Three-Point Contest title, tying Larry Bird and Michael Hodges for the all-time record of three championships.
This year's Three-Point Contest features eight players, including Portis of the Bucks, Murray of the Nuggets, Knudell of the Hornets, Powell of the Heat, Maxi (born in 1976), Mitchell of the Cavaliers, Booker of the Suns, and Lillard of the Trail Blazers.
In the first round, Knupper ultimately scored 27 points, followed closely by Mitchell with 24 points, while Booker had a stunning performance with 30 points, the highest in the first round. Lillard, as the last player to appear, despite not having returned for the season due to injury, relied on his rich experience and accurate shooting to score 27 points in the first round, advancing to the finals along with Booker and Knupper.
In the final round, Knupper's form dipped, scoring only 17 points. Lillard continued his hot streak, performing consistently in the first three rounds, and although his performance dipped slightly in the final round, he still made 3 shots, finishing with 29 points to surpass Booker's 27 points and win the championship. Although Booker displayed excellent form, his efficiency dropped in the final stages, preventing him from winning the title.
