Marco Silva hopes Fulham will show resilience and quality again

Fulham will travel to the London Stadium to challenge West Ham in the 21st round of the 2024/25 Premier League, and coach Marco Silva said at a press conference that he hopes the team will once again show resilience and outstanding strength in this game.

After Raul Jimenez scored twice, Fulham drew 2-2 with Ipswich at home in the last round of the league. Fulham is currently ranked 9th in the Premier League standings with 30 points, and has been unbeaten in the past 8 league games, which is a very impressive performance.

It is worth mentioning that West Ham lost 1-2 to Aston Villa in the third round of the FA Cup earlier, and this was the first time that new coach Graham Potter led the "Hammers" to participate in the game.

Fulham manager Marco Silva said, "We are of course very familiar with Graham Potter, and he knows us very well. This is certainly not the first time we have played against each other. They played a game before and we took the opportunity to analyze it. To be honest, the tactics he arranged for the team did not surprise us because this is his style and the way he likes."

"This game is still about focusing on ourselves, paying attention to what we can or cannot do, and also knowing that West Ham's main tactical ideas will be reflected in the game."

In addition, Fulham defeated Watford 4-1 in the FA Cup earlier and successfully advanced to the round of 32. Speaking of Fulham's recent achievements, Marco Silva said, "This is a great journey for us. We should get more points because our performance in these games deserves more."

“We showed resilience, quality and that we can be competitive on any pitch against any team and we hope to repeat that performance tomorrow against West Ham.”

Marco Silva also added, "When other teams play against us, they will know what kind of game they are facing. Our players also have the confidence to do their best, and we are a strong team as a whole."
