In a recent interview, American captain Pulisic talked about his career and said that coming to AC Milan to play football was a big step. He also hoped to be remembered as a player who gave 100% effort in every game.
Pulisic, 26, previously played for Premier League giants Chelsea for more than four years and joined Serie A AC Milan in July 2023.
In the 2024/25 Serie A season, Pulisic contributed 11 goals and 9 assists for AC Milan.
Pulisic said, "Transferring to AC Milan means a lot to me. This is a big step in my career. It is a great feeling to wear the AC Milan jersey. This club has a long history and has produced countless legendary players, so it is an honor to wear this jersey every time."
“I had a great time in London, but to make the next step I needed a big club that really wanted me and gave me a chance on my first day, which was an amazing step for my career.”
Pulisic continued, "Serie A is a great league with different challenges every week. Whether it's against a deep defense or a one-on-one confrontation, it's a very interesting league. This club has given me everything and I'm very grateful. So I just want people to remember that I am a player who gives 100% every time I play."
"The environment is the most important thing. Everyone at AC Milan makes me feel very welcome, whether it's the coaching staff, the staff, the top management or most importantly the fans. I think the fans have given me huge support since the first game. Scoring on my debut at the San Siro was a dream start and it gave me a lot of confidence."
In addition, Pulisic also shared, "One of the reasons why I started to like football is that when I was a child, I always went directly to the court to play football after school. Giving children such opportunities may make them fall in love with football like me and cultivate a passion for this sport."
"Soccer is growing well in the United States, and I want to be seen as a leader and a role model. It's not just my performance with the national team, but my attitude and performance every day in the club, and I hope those who watch me can be inspired by that."
