Mallorca officially completes contract extension with Slovakia international defender Martin Valjent..


Mallorca announced on its official website on Thursday that the club has extended the contract of its Slovakia international defender Martin Valjent.


According to Mallorca's official statement, Valjent has signed on a new long-term four-and-a-half-year deal with the club that which runs until the summer of 2029.


About Martin Valjent


The 29-year-old Valjent was born on December 11, 1995 in Dubnica nad Váhom, Slovakia. He is 1.87 meters tall and plays as a center back.


Valjent joined the youth academy of his hometown club Spartak Dubnica since he was a child, and completed his Spartak Dunbica first-team debut in November 2012, he was only 16 years old at the time.


The following summer, Valjent joined Ternana for €150,000.


In August 2017, Valjent moved to Chievo Verona for €450,000, but was immediately loaned back to Ternana.


In August 2018, Valjent was loaned-out to Mallorca, and his ownership was officially bought out in the summer of the following year.


Since becoming a member of Mallorca, Valjent has played 226 times for the La Liga club in all competitions so far, scoring 1 goal and providing 2 assists, making him the third foreign player with the most appearances in the club's history.
